Foiling Front Cover

Here I have experimented with the process of foiling on a heat press it came out so well and the client was happy to go ahead with it for the final book.

Front Cover Development

My client wanted her branding to be simple but sophisticated and professional so I chose to use the font Didot, it looks very familiar to the Vogue magazine type on the front cover. Below are a few ideas for the front cover which is going to be a slate grey on hard card. I also thought about foling the front cover using black foil to give it a spotgloss shine to make it look professional and sharp. This is something I will be experimenting with but firstly I needed to get the right layout for the front cover.

The Brief

I have been asked to make a look book for a third year fashion student, the name of her collection is called Wunderkammer.
The client wants a professional and sophisticated outcome for the final product focusing on colours that she has used in her garments such as dark purple, light grey and dark grey.

I will be setting myself this brief to do in 2 days.
As well as creating a look book I will also be creating the branding, postcards and poster.
